In the world of Search Engine Optimisation - a lot of attention is usually placed on obtaining correct keyword densities - however a lot of companies overlook the importance of navigation. usually placing huge amounts of spam links onto the website in a footer or other ways of trying to minimise the impact - when in fact if catered for properly is not needed in the slightest. I am going to write about 3 methods of linking below - and within those I will write a couple of advantages and disadvantages
- Javascript Navigation:- Navigation wrote entirely in javascript is the bane of a SEO’s life - as the client usually is quite into the look of the navigation - how it fades in correctly and looks. This is the biggest advantage of Javascript Navigation - However the search engines can not effectively spider the website - causing huge problems with the site being indexed
- Flash. This has the same issues as Javascript - is very nice to look at -but not functional to the search engine spiders - even worse than the javascript - avoid!
- CSS and HTML: using the unordered (<ul> ) is really the only way to go with drop down navigation - you can build amazing lists which look stunning - and even use a touch of javascript to enhace the html where necessary!
So as you can see - whatever you need to do can be done within css, html and a touch of javascript - and be spiderable by the search engines

Tips for good SEO Copywriting

Content is and always has been the identity of the internet. Providing a resource of knowledge that can rival any number of encyclopaedias in as many languages as you can think of is what made the internet the phenomena that we recognise it as today.
In keeping with this SEO, or Search Engine Optimisation has to be approached in a similar fashion. We know that Google and the other major engines reward websites that have a wealth of information, not just any information, information that is totally fresh and unique.
The world Wide web is a place where like minded people from all walks of life can discuss issues, generating ideas that have changed the way we live. More wide scale and impressive than any think tank, the internet has no place for recycled ideas.
If you have lots of duplicate content on your website, what strength does it hold and what respect does it deserve? You are essentially repeating something that a viewer may have just read and therefore the search engine spiders will discredit your site and regard it as pointless.
If you want your site to be successful in the natural listings its imperitive that you write the content, or you get a skilled copywriter to do it for you. Then you can guarantee that only unique content exists on any of your pages. Build this up slowly over time, and by keeping to a similar subjects you will build up your authority as a worthy resource, and Google will share this view and accordingly improve your listings to the summit of search results.
