It Can Be Done With Top SEO Blogs

In his book ‘This is your brain on Music’ the author, Daniel J. Levitin makes the following statement: “Ten thousand hours is equivalent to roughly three hours a day, or 20 hours a week, of practice over 10 years.

No one has yet found a case in which true world-class expertise was accomplished in less time. It seems that it takes the brain this long to assimilate all that it needs to know to achieve true mastery.”  You may ask what does this have to do with search engine optimisation and blogs.

Ever evolving

Everything really, and any SEO consultant will tell you that this is an industry that keeps evolving and changes at such a fast pace that even the above statement is not accurate. When it comes to what these consultants do on a daily basis and what it takes to stay ahead of their game. The basics seem very simple to a novice; optimise web pages to make a website highly visible and bring in the needed traffic.

A decade ago things were very different, but the Internet and online marketing has become a run-away freight train. For any business to stay profitable it is truly a case of holding on for dear life and riding the tiger. To do this the services of an experienced consultant is used to give the business that edge and make it highly visible to searchers on the Internet.

Learn or lose

The problem comes in because the goal posts are literally moved continuously. What worked a few years ago is no longer applicable. Last year’s techniques are now old hat and a consultant worth his salt has to change, learn and grow to be able to do his work.

The blogosphere has become a powerful tool. This is where people share their expertise, their opinions, ask questions and debate. In this way the birth of the SEO blog and journal has great merit. These are blogs written by people who have been in the SEO game for a long time and have learnt all the tricks of the trade.

Blog around the world

The knowledge sharing is a two-way street for consultants and people who are interested in getting started in this industry. Often SEO bloggers invite people to ask them a question and suggest a topic to be written about. In this way the knowledge pool grows and valuable information is spread. People are quick to leave comments, so that a blogger must know what he is talking about or he will be shot down fast.

SEO blogs are invaluable to people who are not in the industry, but have valid questions. In the top blogs they find answers that broaden their knowledge tremendously. By following and subscribing to some of the top SEO blogs people in the industry share and learn and those on the outside gain much needed knowledge. The great thing about these blogs is that it is written in plain, everyday English without the jargon and that is what everyone wants.

  3. [...] Blogging has an informal and easy style without the restrictions of official website protocol. This gives you the optimisation opportunity for totally different keywords than those appropriate for your official website. You talk to people and they can respond to you in the same informal manner. The blogging medium gives your company and your products a personal feeling and this puts people at ease and makes them more agreeable to do business with you. [...]

Let’s keep it simple: give the customer what he wants. That’s what Google (other search engines are available) is trying to do. So the most authoritative sites become number one. And yet, a whole world of SEO ‘experts’ has been spawned, all claiming to be able to deliver high rankings because they understand what Google really wants. If you want the SEO company who truly understands what Google wants, that company will be number 1. I believe that’s why we’re number 1 for SEO web design in West Sussex. Cheers, Nostrils007.
