Marketing online with articles is definitely one of the most effective and most targeted methods to get customers who are already looking to buy something. The most effective strategy to leverage your article marketing campaigns consists in usingan article spinning and submitter software so you're able to submit way more articles quickly. If you submit to more article directories, you will gain more traffic, and definitely will facilitate you to get high quality backlinks quickly.

Hi Brian, we'd recommend using a different site altogether when you want visitors from a specific location to find their most relevant information. Have a look at this post and see if you can incorporate into your business http://www.seoconsult.co.uk/SEOBlog/geo-targeting-search-engine-optimisation/targeting-specific-countries-with-seo.html

As expected, another brilliant article. Just wanted to mention a way I obtain quality back links via Blogs. I use the Google Blog search at http://blogsearch.google.co.uk/blogsearch
You can key in your desired Keyword phrase and it gives you pure quality blog results.

All the best,
Steve

Major problem is when people revamp their sites and they no longer think necessary to keep the page they have linked to you.
Another problem is to request them to change the anchor specially if it comes from a blog as the blogger must have decided his/her own anchor and wrote the post accordingly.
Anyway quite useful post. Thanks

nice article...just want to give my 2 cents:

If one is optimizing a website for another country eg: if you are in the USA and ur client is in the UK, the website may be ranking well in the US, but ur client in the UK sees a different picture - he does not see the website ranking, or sees the website on the 4th page for example. This is because of Geo Targeting and the results are geographically biased.

One has to use a proxy (in the UK) and then use Google UK. Doing this your search results are now unbiased and will 'act' like you are searching in the UK therefore you will 'see' the rankings as your client sees it.

Then optimize and rest is history.
:)

This is a great post and spot on -- press releases are just for the press anymore, but rather can be incorporated as part of an overall online marketing program. Here's a couple of articles on this topic -- and in full disclosure, they do mention PRWeb, who I represent.

All the newest trends & tips in SEO are likely to come under Google's watch at some point in the future so it's definitely important to vary what you're doing. We never advise our clients to put all their links (eggs) in one basket, not only because that's ineffective for increasing visibility, but also because you never know what/when something is going to be filtered in the algorithms. Additionally, we test all our strategies before utilizing them on our client's business websites to ensure they are viable & sustainable long-term.
