The process of making a site/link relevant has become the norm in modern day designing of websites. This is due to the fact that the increase in the profitability of obtaining this web traffic i.e. the customers, website owners have the potential to increase their revenue through sales.
While it is clear that website visibility is the key, website relevance is also crucial. You cannot solely rely on your SEO consultant making your website rank in the top ten, only to find that the traffic generated does not reflect the revenue obtained.
The basics of relevance
Website relevance relates to the impact that your website make on the potential user. This means that each of your webpage’s and SEO copy has to be relevant to what you are selling or what your services are. The reason for this demand is that the rise in the use of SEO copy i.e. keyword based articles has lead people to simply put anything and everything that would be a potential search engine.
In this the website has lost relevance. Just like television you only have a few seconds to hook your customers, make them want what you are offering. If your website’s introduction says that you are selling shoes then that is what your potential buyer will expect.
They will not want to read about Indian poverty on your website. By understanding this you will be able to relay it to your SEO consultant. Don’t ask them to read your mind as only you know which path you really want to go.
Copywriting services
Achieving optimal results is the goal and thus content that is relevant, concise and informative is sought. Copywriting involves the art of getting people to buy into your view of product on offer but with the application of relevant keywords.
It involves the use of words, graphics or other forms of graphic that can attract or discourage views or “hits” on a particular site.
The two main ways of doing this is either by “white hatting” or “black hatting”.
White hatting involves the correct usage of the search engine capabilities such as (but not limited to): relevant information, regulation of phising and spamming links. This method proves to have more long lasting effects in that the search results are always relevant and accurate. This is achieved by indexing in that the number of keywords in the search that appear in the link, the results are then listed in order of relevancy.
Black hatting on the other hand is a reverse of the white hat in that the results are offered are not accurate and have been filtered in accordance to phising and spamming( a technique known as spamdexing), in this case the more the link or website has a probability of being of malicious content its noted and displayed. This proves to be a much better way but unfortunately its short lived-since once the link is earmarked the developers are likely to shut it down or change its content.
