Turn Your Marketing Global With SEO

Few businesses need to be truly confined by geographical barriers. While some services like take away restaurants and newsagents are limited to the area local to them there are many businesses and shops that are only restricted to their region because that’s where there physical premises are. Fortunately, the Internet is a global marketplace and it enables even small business owners to be able to broaden their horizons. SEO could take your small business to new global heights while retaining its local appeal.

Local SEO

Small businesses are able to specifically target local clients and customers through a local SEO campaign. Geo-targeting keywords and registering with the various local arms of the major search engines will go a long way in helping to continue creating local customers. Some customers prefer to deal with the smaller, local business because they feel they will get a more personal and personable service while other customers may demand the more rigid and typically professional approach that the large multinational firms offer.

Global SEO

Global SEO is perfect for any website or online business that is not hampered by physical boundaries. Digital products that can be delivered by email or as downloads can be marketed to virtually any country in the world, while service providers that do not need to conduct site visits or face to face meetings can also enjoy the same wide scale SEO marketing campaign. Even businesses that need to deliver tangible products may be able to offer their services further afield than the town or county where they currently operate.

Geo-Targeted Keywords

Geo-targeted keywords are geographically targeted keywords. These thoroughly researched keywords include geographic regions and locales as part of the search term as well as the relevant services, products, and other keywords. As well as considering your own town name and county name you should research local towns and cities and those regions that you are willing to service. Geo-targeted keywords can also be used for global SEO to help find niche keywords.

Could Your Business Cope?

One of the biggest influencing factors in whether to opt for a local or global SEO campaign is whether your business could cope. Are you in a position to send items overseas? Are you able to keep your costs competitive even when you factor in the cost of postage and any other shipping costs that might be incurred during the process? Only you will really know the answer to these questions and you should base your SEO strategy around questions like these.

Improving Results With A Global SEO Campaign

Global SEO opens up a whole new world of potential for the small business like never before. When somebody clicks on your link and visits your site, it has cost you no more money whether they hail from the UK or from New Zealand and the potential increase in traffic levels can mean a substantially improved return on investment thanks to greater sales and more profits.

If the SEO campaign is running for global traffic it is complete solution of online marketing and business, it can run 24*7*365 days for this there is no alternative.

  3. Good article, I agree that global SEO campaigns are the way to go, if the company can handle it. I’d say the major problem, however, when competing on that level, isn’t necessarily getting ranking. But rather, getting conversion. Seems like the conversion rate is much lower when aiming for a broader term.
