There are a number of SEO link building services available on the Internet.
While some offer a genuinely viable service that generate results, others may
use unethical results that generate poor results. Taking care to use a good
service is essential to your SEO success and can help to prevent getting your
site penalised or blacklisted.

Too Good To Be True?

First of all, try to avoid any services that offer huge amounts of links at
rock bottom prices. In reality, ethical link building is a challenging and
time consuming process and masses of links for low prices is usually a warning
sign.

Link Networks

Avoid services that offer hundreds of links from the same network of websites.
The more links you have from sites with the same class C IPC address, the less
benefit you will gain for any of them. If this all your link profile consists
of then you are unlikely to gain any kind of benefit from it.

Reciprocal Links

Reciprocal links and three-way links do not represent an effective method
of link building. Search engines recognised long ago that Webmasters were offering
links based on nothing more than receiving a link back from that same site.
This link building method was greatly devalued as a result. The same is also
true of three way linking.

Choosing A Link Building Service

When choosing a link building service try to gain as much information as possible
regarding their tactics and techniques. Many services won’t give you explicit
details for obvious reasons, but at the very least ask to see evidence of their
work. Consider how you found their own site as well, and where possible, use
a company that includes link building as part of their SEO service.
