I get asked this question 10-100 times a week, how do I get my website to the top of Google quickly! I thought I would detail my answer in this blog today, as to try and allow you to appreciate the long hours getting websites search engine optimised and up the rankings. Please find below the steps to get your website to the top of the search engines in a nice easy to read numbered list:

  1. Research your Industry - It is quite shocking just how many new companies will go out and say we want keyword a, keyword b, and keyword f, without actually researching the market - are they a Business to Business or Business to Consumer? Is there website after generating leads or instant sales? does the website have the infrastructure already built to handle this?
  2. Pick your Keywords - Through the first round of research it allows you to gain a feel for the industry, for an idea as to what the keywods should be, why not ask a few people around the office what they would search for to find your product
  3. Research your competitor - Again we’re on the research, what are your competitors who are ranking doing which you dont? what are their key strengths in the online marketing strategies, but more importantly what are their key weaknesses?
  4. Modify your website to utilise all of those strengths your competitors have as a whole, and improve where they have weakness.
  5. Repeat step 3

from using these methods - you will quickly find yourself ranking above your competitors, or alternatively if you feel this would take too much of your valuable time, why not contact us about Search Engine Optimisation
