To be ranked number 1!
Who would want to be ranked number 1 on every search engine on the net for there specific key words or phrases? EVERYBODY! That’s kind of the point, every webmaster, company with a website or blogger, wants their site to be ranked highest. To top that off almost every SEO company promises to do exactly that, and there are a lot of SEO companies out there.
Anybody who has been paying any attention in the last decade will know that gaining high rankings is not as easy as it use to be. This is due to several factors, there are more sites out there then ever before. There is more knowledge on how to design a site out there then ever before.
There are thousands of companies dedicated to improving sites ranking and Search Engine Algorithms are getting more complex. So the internet is becoming significantly more competitive each day, and companies are trying to find that ever elusive edge.
They will tell you what you want to hear
There are companies that will promise you exactly what you want to hear, and they will do all the tricks in the book to achieve this, and one day you will be in the top ten the next you won’t. There are hundreds of competitors in every industry and hundreds more Search Engine Optimization Companies promising to get all those companies to the top of the rankings.
You do the math, its impossible! There are short cuts, but they don’t last. The truth is Search Engine Optimization is a long term process and if your site isn’t at least a few years old, your efforts may not produce the results you desire.
Its not about the number of hits
The key in today’s internet market, is not about how many hits you get on your site, its about the conversion rate of that site. The biggest illusion that many people are under is that with a few key changes your site can be ranked in the top ten and your business turnover will sky rocket. It won’t.
The fact is you can have a hundred hit a min and still do no business. Your site can not just be designed to get people to it, but also to convert those users into customers or repeat users.
Many sites are Designed Incorrectly, they are loaded with money phrases or massive amounts of inapplicable links and useless, keyword drenched content. The idea of good content is not about repeating what everyone else has done.
It’s about originality and truly unique content. Write for the user not for a search engine. That will set one site apart from the rest. So change how you look at optimizing your site.
